Weddings should be unique to each couple. Not everyone is looking for a grand event with an extensive guest list and a ballroom reception. For some couples, an intimate, chic getaway is much more in line with their vision - perhaps a destination wedding. Villa Cardo, part of Moroseta Homes wedding venue in Puglia, Italy, is a unique, sleek, and sophisticated location for an elopement or a private wedding for a couple and up to six of their esteemed friends and family.
About The Villa Cardo Wedding In Puglia, Italy
Villa Cardo is one of 8 villas included in Moroseta Homes. It was designed by Studio Andrew Trotter, who designed Masseria Moroseta, a 7-unit bed, and breakfast in Puglia known for its modern architecture and minimalistic design.
Unique, natural elegance is the ultimate vibe of Villa Cardo. Its design reflects authentic Puglian farms, surrounded by olive trees and built with local materials and traditional construction methods. These keep the building light, cool, and airy in the hot Italian summer. The building’s sleek, clean lines make it a spectacularly modern gem in the Italian countryside, with plenty of cozy textiles and materials to warm the space.
Villa Cardo is an incredible, exclusive escape for any traveler. It is an undeniable taste of Italian luxury with the perfect balance of old and new. Its location also makes it ideal for those who want to explore more of Puglia’s history, cuisine, and culture. Sparkling beaches and an expansive coastline aren’t far from the property. So when you are ready for a change of scenery from your private pool, you can easily find yourself walking along the sand with the love of your life.
Rentals are for a minimum of one week, so you can savor the entire celebration as long as you want. Why rush through the wedding in one day when you can draw it out throughout a relaxing Puglia, Italy vacation? You’ll have plenty of time to explore the area - or not! It’s your week. Spend it however you want - no judgment.
Details of the Grounds
The wedding villa hides within an acre of land, surrounded by Puglia, Italy, native olive, and almond trees. The rooftop terrace has an incredible view of the surrounding groves and the beautiful sea. The house itself features a large living room with a dining space, 4 bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms. The main bedroom has its own veranda, with an external bathroom, a secluded outdoor shower, and a private garden. The other bedrooms include a double room with an ensuite bathroom and two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two single beds) that share a bathroom.
You likely won’t spend too much time indoors, however, with the incredible outdoor amenities of the space. The spectacular pool sparkles in the Puglian sun and is the perfect place to lounge and unwind. The pool also has an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and pizza oven and an outdoor dining terrace.
Villa Cardo’s amenities include air conditioning, a Turkish bath, and a cinema room, perfect for cuddling up and watching a movie on a cool evening. Cleaning every two days ensures you spend your vacation relaxing, leaving the everyday tasks behind.
The grounds boast plenty of opportunities for gorgeous Puglia, Italy, wedding pictures. Outdoors, the rustic landscape, and characteristic cacti are the perfect natural backdrop for unique portraits that you will be proud to pass down for generations. The entire property has white stucco walls with clean, sharp lines that will look contemporary and chic in every photo. The abundance of natural light in and around the property is ideal for romantic shots at any time of day, but the dramatic sunset lighting is unbeatable. While there are plenty of outdoor opportunities for dramatic photos, indoor settings can be ideal for cozy, intimate pictures.
With the right photographer, any backdrop can make for the most iconic shot of your entire wedding day. Take a look through my portfolio and blogs to see how a little imagination and expertise can take your wedding portraits to the next level.
While Villa Cardo is not necessarily set up for weddings, it is the perfect place for something intimate and special in Puglia, Italy. You can get creative with where on the property to exchange your vows. Go for a more natural approach in the shadows of the olive and almond groves, maybe even barefoot. Alternatively, take advantage of the incredible rooftop vistas. Commit yourself to your partner against a breathtaking view of the sea and plenty of blue skies. If you’re into the glamorous vacation vibes, a poolside ceremony with a backdrop of crystal clear pool water and modern architectural design will be undeniably chic.
Once you’ve said “I do,” celebrate with an intimate meal prepared by a local chef using the modern-high tech facilities in the kitchen. They will treat you and your guests (if you invite any) to a fresh, indulgent meal prepared with high-end, locally sourced ingredients. If it is a hot day, spend the afternoon lounging by the pool and soaking in the specialness of the day in paradise. Or simply enjoy the company of your new spouse with a leisurely walk around the property, taking in a natural beauty and savoring every moment. At Villa Cardo, there are plenty of ways to recognize this momentous occasion and take advantage of this gorgeous setting.
One of the benefits of a Puglia, Italy elopement is the ability to pick your wedding attire. Choose an airy, flowy gown that will pop against the scenery, or keep it cool with a refreshing, shorter hemline. Grooms could stay classy with a light linen suit or take a more casual approach with shorts and a button-down. Or get a little cheeky by saying “I do” in your bathing suits while chilling poolside. The options are endless, and an intimate elopement means you are in total control of your day.
