The history of Villa Schweizerhof Lucerne dates back to 1860, when the Zingg family acquired a plot of land near Lake Lucerne. They wasted no time constructing a mansion that soon became known as The Villa. As rumors started to emerge that the Gotthard Railway might install a nearby stop, the mansion was scooped up by the Hauser family, who proceeded to turn the grounds into a hotel perfect for potential travelers. The rumors proved to be a bust, and the Hauser family instead used it as a summer residence. For the next 70 years, the family used it as a residence until it was transformed into an apartment building complete with an onsite restaurant. Today, the building serves as a five-star hotel with 101 rooms where you can stay in luxury. In addition to their world-class accommodations, they offer event services guaranteed to create the day of your dreams!
